We grow up wanting to acquire more and more information and knowledge. Knowledge does enable us to gain high status, power and respect from society. But if we do not handle our success and power with due humility we soon get blinded by our ego. It is therefore important to achieve a balance between the heavy load of knowledge with a light mind.

Acquiring knowledge is tough but letting go of it is even more challenging. Lightening our minds is possible if we are prepared to surrender our ego of knowledge. And one of the way is to remove the clutter and calm our mind. Only then can we understand issues and problems with an open mind and by listening to our inner voice.

  1. So true.. I don’t believe that with more knowledge comes more success and sometimes if this success turns you into an egoistic person, it will harm you and other around. Grow, gain knowledge in everyday life journey, be successful, but don’t forget to be humble wherever you are

Beautiful and wise words indeed, You are so right ego can posses us from any source. Be it knowledge or power or even by doing good acts. People give donations which is good if done with humility and taking care not to show-off.

  2. It was very clear and straight to the point. I truly think that one way to clear the mind and still keep its knowledge is to align it with the heart to direct it. After all the heart knows more and better. Nice writing and quotation picture.

Indeed! We cannot enjoy what we have if we remain busy gathering. One more drawback of today’s education system and society structure is that we are complexing everything – professions, law, business strategy, economy, living… everything. We don’t understand what is what and so we need experts for every needs. Simplifying life is not only a challenge but an adventure we undertake. Such quotes of wisdom guide the blindfolded us throughout the path. Thank you so much for the positive wibes, Dilipji. Much needed at this moment.
