I would love to. Have been fantasizing since childhood. But I’m scared of the inevitable pain of separation by death- don’t know if I can cope up. So I’m avoiding buying one. 😦

Oh yes Dr Sweety that’s a pretty mature way of thinking. When our Leo passed away after being a centre of great joy to our family we vowed never again 😔 Leo was a handsome highly trained German Sheperd dog. We can never ever forget the lovable fellow.
But I hasten to add having a pet can also do wonders in raising the happiness quotient of a household. The abundance love and loyalty of a pet can never be measured and life is all about living in the present.

I understand fully. I had pet budgies. Now they are nowhere as responsive as dogs. Yet when I lost them, I mourned.
I mean, philosophy is one thing, but reality is another. It left me so scared of losing another pet.
Now I’m content with feeding the birds that alight on my balcony. They are a migrating population and I’m fine with the transitory acquaintance.
May I’m being an escapist, maybe I’m a coward. But I’m just scared of owning another pet.

Well I do believe you have arrived at a beautiful pastime of feeding birds fly in and out. In fact despite having a pup/dog from childhood days I am against any form of captivity not only for animals but for us humans too. When I say us humans I mean we too must have a free and open mind 😀😀

Dear Dilipnaidu, I’m trying to get 100’000 signatures to bring the russian governement to do controls on the animal’s shelter (for ex. these one on Bano “Echo” in South-east district of Moscow), and close such as this one on the video, transfering all animals to a protect place with vet care and food and loving persons.
