ONCE, all villagers decided to pray for rain, on the day of prayer all the people gathered but only one boy came with an umbrella.
That’s FAITH

Grown-ups always need logic or reason to believe yet things can still go wrong. But little children live a happy life with wonder in their eyes and without care for the outcomes.
“Faith consists in believing when it is beyond the power of reason to believe” ~ Voltaire

Yup, and because grownups know about disappointments from great expectations. We need to limit ourselves from that fear, otherwise we won’t believe. Nice short and sweet post.

Nicely put Rommel. So it’s best to minimise our expectations and be content with whatever is the outcome.

So true! And I pray that I don’t lose that childlike innocence. We have to be wary of things, but some things are meant to be experienced and seen through the eyes of an unsuspecting child. πŸ™‚ Wonderful reminder and quote!

  3. The other day I was reading some short short stories and this was one of them which I liked the most and you have so nicely put across. Stories can be written in one and two lines not necessarily in thousands of words. Brevity and message that makes all the difference in storytelling. After it is an art and it comes with practice. The picture tells its all and when combined with such brilliant words, it counts…

Hope you are having a lovely Sunday. Thanks for sharing…

Yes, we have lot of things to learn from kids. Kids remind us of those qualities we had as kids but forgot while growing up! Powerful message, Dilipji πŸ™‚

  5. Faith is its own strength. It wavers and waxes-wanes, but the effort is to constantly re ignite it.

Tagore put it so poetically when he wrote, ‘Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark’. Keep the faith and run the race, Dilip. Best wishes…
