The Empress Garden at Pune covers a sprawling 39 acres, and is home to many rare species of trees and flowers.The Agri-Horticultural Society of Western India organizes an annual flower show and arranges various programs throughout the year to create environmental awareness among people. This year the flower-show was held on 11th, 12th, 13th Jan. 2013.

  2. I never knew about the Empress Gardens in Pune until I read this blog and now I have come to understand that with 59 acres land this is an amazing botanical garden. Thanks for such lovely pictures.

      Oh yes this a lovely place even when there is no formal show. I’ve always wanted to share some pictures of the garden in its natural state – will do so in the near future. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

    Very meaningful quote.
    A saying in the Share Market came to my mind:
    ” Do you have some blue chips in your portfolio?
    If yes; have one more.
    If no; have your first one.”
    This applies to friends as well.
