Last evening me and my friends were on our evening walk and one of us noticed something very beautiful happening up in the sky. It was the Sun setting from behind a few stray clouds. While its true that Sunsets are beautiful anywhere in the world but each is amazingly unique. Just gazing at them makes you calm and peaceful and in the words of our Nobel laureate and poet Rabindranath Tagore ~ “Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky”.

Setting sun with rays (1)

Have a lovely day! Cheers :)

Here I never get to watch sunsets but I watch sunrise 5 days a week on my way to school. True – each day it is a different painting and mood. But every one of them is marvellous! Beautiful shot!

My husband and I went for a drive out in the country today, where the vast sky was made more interesting to gaze upon because of the many fluffy white clouds. We commented on how pretty the sky was.

I love to photograph clouds, even the stormy ones. They can make a sunrise or a sunset more beautiful than if they were not there, as you have captured in your photo. That is a very nice quote, too…looking on the bright side of life.

    • Dilip says:

Its good to know that you and your husband love nature and its happenings. Yes many a time looking up at the sky and watching the clouds pass by can bring us peace and calm.

Thank you for your lovely comment and have a lovely day :)

  13. Wonderful picture :-) really the clouds are floating…..golden lining on thee silver clouds…

Glad to know that you’ve read Tagore’s work….he has written something about our every mood , every emotion…I find solace in his work….always..

  14. ” I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
    A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”…………….

    A poem by William Wordsworth…

You may not have a host of Golden Daffodils.. But the Sun is sure golden..

    Loved your photo xoxox
And many thanks for your wonderful visit :-) xxx

  16. I love twilight zone, when the richest hues of red, pink and orange get splashed across the sky. Rainy season twilight has a melancholic beauty of its own.
    nature is a fantastic artist!

Amazing!…..Feeling nature is feeling our innerselves and that helps us in introspection….but our lifestlye gives us very less time to enjoy all these gifts of beauty….sigh!

  34. As I am reading this, I notice our sunset outside …deep pinks, lilacs, purples fading to a soft pale blue beautifully distracted by the clouds. Yes, they do indeed make the best sunsets and Tagore knew so well!!! Thank you, dear Dilip! :-)

    • Dilip says:

Beautiful words dear Marina “deep pinks, lilacs, purples fading to a soft pale blue beautifully distracted by the clouds” – I can imagine the serene ambiance around.
