There could be several interpretations of the quote above. One could mean that there is only One supreme or cosmic consciousness and that is a state of Oneness and perfection. When we say we are unhappy or feeling low and want to be joyful … it means not being joyful isn’t our natural state … being joyous is indeed our real self.
One ray of the Sun is no different from the other because the Sun is the source of the Universal energy. Water to vapor and vapor to water means one energy different forms. Simply put it means we all are connected and there are no real differences – and differences if any are only in our minds.
So lets celebrate our Universal Oneness joyfully!
Cheers

Coming from you Soma means a lot! Thanks and kind regards!
Universal consciousness is an intriguing concept.
I think it’s more productive to concentrate on our similarities rather than our differences.
Hi Binki I entirely agree with you on this – it may be a good way to be happy.
Nice quote. Reflects the Advaita philosophy closely…
Destination Infinity
Hi and welcome. You are absolutely right it is the Advaita the philosophy of non-duality.

An excellent quote. You are water in the beginning and can become a wave. But finally you become water only.
The wave is born out of water and finally merges with Water.
“Death is certain for the Born . And Birth is certain for the Dead..”says Bhagwad Gita
Beautiful response Suhas! “Na Hanyate Hanyamane Sarire” meaning “Consciousness is eternal it is not vanquished with the destruction of the temporary body”.
Thanks and regards.
beautiful pic and the words after that .. Thanks
Bikram thanks!
That is a mesmerizing quote. It kept bouncing on me recursively! The wave need not be water, it is water….One has to be water before one could become a wave….
Welcome Umashankar glad it set you thinking
And I liked that ‘One has to be water before one could become a wave…’
Cheers & thanks.

It is also theorized that there is a common or corporate consciousness among animals that exists beyond time and place. Elephants, for example, seem to know they are being killed for their tusks.
Carl oh yes the example of animals fits very well in the theme of Universal Consciousness! You comments always makes one think! Thank you.
Universal Oneness. What a great thought that we need to muse anew every day and keep the faith that one day all people will feel the same.
Thank you for the postive vibes.
So simple, it eludes us! Thank you so much Dilip for this reminder.
Your appreciation means a lot to me Marina. Thanks & cheers
